Cleveland, TN–August 19 is the birthday of the Church of God. On this day in 1886, a small group gathered at a gristmill along Barney Creek in Monroe County, Tennessee—not far from the Coker Creek stop on the well-traveled Unicoi Turnpike.

Cleveland, TN–“Course to Canada” is a new Church of God Heritage Exhibit in the Discipleship and Education Center of the Church of God International Offices. The new exhibit tells the story of Church of God education in Canada, featuring the former International Bible College and introducing current ministerial training through the new Canadian School of Ministry.
Colorado Springs, Colo.–Church of God retired U.S. Army Chaplain Raymond Pettitt was a featured speaker at the renaming ceremony of the USPS Briargate Post Office in honor of U.S. Army Chaplain (Captain) Dale Goetz that took place on July 23, 2021.
Cleveland, TN–Lee University conferred 178 degrees during its summer commencement ceremony on Saturday, July 31. Attendees heard speaker Phil Cook challenge the graduates in Lee’s traditional ceremony conducted in the Conn Center.
Competition is already underway as Church of God Youth and Discipleship is conducting its popular Teen Talent competition, this week from August 2-6.
