‘Standing Strong’ Virtual Event Set for This Sunday

While Covid-19 has cancelled many events, it has also spawned virtual gatherings. This coming Sunday, August 23, 2020, the Church of God International Offices will be hosting another online celebratory event entitled, “Standing Strong.”

Subtitled, “A Night of Worship and Encouragement,” the event will feature the musical talents of Geron Davis and Kindred Souls, along with Danny Murray and Classic Harvest reunion. Standing Strong will be similar to “Pentecost for All Generations,” which was broadcast on Pentecost Sunday, “Rise Again” on Easter Sunday, and “Hope for Tomorrow” which aired on March 22. It was the first virtual event after the Covid-19 pandemic began its devastating run.

“Obviously we would prefer to have these kinds of events in person, but it is not be at this point in time,” General Overseer Tim Hill, who will moderate the live event, stated. “However, God has a way of pouring out His blessings online as well. The engagement we have had from around the world has been tremendous and we pray God’s anointing will rain down again during ‘Standing Strong!’

Standing Strong will be broadcast live on the official Church of God Facebook page, COGHQ at 7:00 p.m. Easter Standard Time. It will also be archived at the same location.
