Discounted Housing Rates Available for GA16

For the first time, the Church of God International General Assembly will be held in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. The 76th Assembly – GA16 – is scheduled for July 19-22, 2016 at the new Music City Center.

Along with registration for GA16, a vital component of a successful gathering is affordable housing within walking distance of the venue.

“Nashville is truly the ‘It’ city on just about every list and in every travel industry paper and blog,” said Kevin Brooks, Coordinator of Conference Management for the Church of God and GA16. “The Church of God is blessed to have signed the contracts early on for the world-class hotels and new Music City Center. With so much national attention on Nashville, the prices have sky-rocketed and the hotel availability has dropped. Thankfully, we have 23 hotels that have locked-in discounted rates for the General Assembly.”

Brooks, who has served as state representative for the 24th district of Tennessee since 2006, travels frequently to the Tennessee capital for legislative sessions. During this time he has stayed in virtually all of the hotels that have signed contracts with the Church of God for GA16. In addition, Brooks observed construction of the Music City Center (MCC) as it rose out of the ground over the course of two years.

“We (Church of God) began negotiating for GA16 before the foundation of the MCC was completed,” Brooks stated. “Because we got in line early, for both the MCC and the surrounding hotels, we were able to secure incredibly cheaper rates than what the properties are going for today. These Church of God discounts are only available online via our www.GA16.org website, so book now for best accommodations and discounted rates.”

Brooks said many of the Church of God hotels have free parking, free wi-fi and free breakfast. Most are within three blocks of the Music City Center.

“It is a special joy to be able to bring the Church of God to Nashville, Tennessee – our home state,” said David Ray, director of Communications and chairman of the General Assembly Cabinet. “It will have been exactly 50 years since a General Assembly gathered in Tennessee (Memphis, 1966), but the first time in the capital city of Nashville. Nashville is thrilled to host us and has provided many special surprises to welcome our delegates.”
