Washington, DC– For the fifth year in a row, a live baby will coo, a donkey will bray, and a camel will snort in front of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, DC. The event is the Live Nativity on Capitol Hill sponsored by Faith and Action, a Christian missionary outreach to top-level government officials. Live actors in elaborate costumes will portray Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus, as well as shepherds, townspeople, and a drummer boy. The live animals will accompany the group as they walk from the Faith and Action headquarters behind the Supreme Court, across Constitution and Maryland Avenues, to the front of the High Court and the East plaza of the U.S. Capitol, finally making their way back via East Capitol Street. Soloist Nathan Kistler of Hickory, North Carolina will lead classic Christmas carols.
