Church of God Celebrates 5th Anniversary in Czech Republic

A momentous occasion was held recently as a local Church of God in Prague hosted eight other Church of God congregations to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Church of God being legally registered and officially recognized as a church in the Czech Republic!

Career Missionary Sabrina Evans reports it was a great time of worship and reflection on what God has done in the past five years. It was also an opportunity to dream about the future, and what can transpire if there is unity among the congregations.

Each pastor shared photos, funny stories, and touching testimonies of God’s grace upon their ministries. National bishop and local pastor Jerry Lillard delivered a powerful message on the meaning of being united.

The 5th anniversary is more significant and meaningful in that it happened to coincide with the national anniversary of the Velvet Revolution 25 years ago! The Velvet Revolution was the beginning of non-violent protests which ended the communist regime in the Czech Republic.

God is granting a season of “new life” for the Czech Republic.
