Earlier this month, the Dixon Pentecostal Research Center honored Dr. John D. Nichols and Dr. John M. Gregory with the Spirit of Azusa Award. The Research Center presented the awards in conjunction with its fifteenth annual Azusa Lecture. For the first time, the Leadership and Communications Center of the Church of God International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee, hosted the live-streamed event. Both the presentation of the Spirit of Azusa Awards and the Azusa Lecture highlighted benevolence ministries in recognition of the centennial of the Church of God’s oldest benevolence ministry—the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.

Christ’s birthday is celebrated annually at Church of God World Missions by asking supporters to give a monetary gift in honor of the miraculous birth of Jesus. Cleveland, TN–Dr. Paul Conn, Lee University chancellor, was recently inducted into the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association’s (TICUA) Hall of Fame, which aims to honor distinguished alumni from TICUA institutions while highlighting their contributions to the state, nation, and world.

The Church of God International Offices, Spirit Sound Music Group, and Westmore Church of God are co-sponsoring a conference for worship leaders, pastors, musicians and creative art teams. The date is March 4-6, 2021 at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, Tenn.

Church of God General Overseer Dr. Tim Hill and Michael Nations, founding director of The VITAL Initiative, will host a unique gathering for pastors via Zoom on Monday December 7, 2020 at 8:00 EST. All pastors are welcome, and the discussion will concentrate primarily on issues highlighted in the work of The VITAL Initiative, a ministry founded to benefit the pastor of the smaller congregation.
