Donald S. Aultman Passes Away

Dr. Donald S. Aultman, a leader who touched many levels of the Church of God, passed away early on March 19, 2018. He was 87.

Car Accident Kills Church of God Pastor, Lay Leader in El Salvador

The Church of God Office of Hispanic Ministries received a communique from Bishop Pedro Guardado, Central America Superintendent concerning the lamentable passing of Pastor Douglas Ramirez, 45, and lay leader Samuel Guevara, Sr., 66. Another pastor, Obed Morán Santos, 38, is in critical condition.

Hill Announces Theme for 2018 General Assembly

March 16, 2018–Cleveland, TN—Church of God General Overseer Timothy M. Hill took to Facebook Live to officially announce the theme for the 77th International General Assembly set for July 30 – August 3.

Lee University at 100: The Second 25 Years

In recognition of the 100th birthday of Lee University this year, Faith News is presenting a series of four articles on the history of the Church of God’s premier educational institution. This second in the series recalls the years 1943 – 1968. The article is a reprint from an appearance in the Lee University Torch, written on the occasion of Lee University’s 75th birthday in 1993. The writer was the late Charles W. Conn, a former president of Lee College (1970-1982) and general overseer of the Church of God from 1966-1970. Conn is also author of Like A Mighty Army, a history of the Church of God.

PTS Professor Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Cleveland, TN–The 47th annual conference of the Society for Pentecostal Studies recently met at Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) as over five hundred scholars from around the world came together to discuss Pentecostal and Wesleyan contributions to Christian scholarship.
