Winterfest: Still Relevant After 37 Years

Knoxville, TN–This past weekend at Smoky Mountain Winterfest a group of 61 volunteers were recognized as “Unsung Heroes,” those who have been behind the scenes filling every volunteer capacity from running sound, hosting guests, or helping with security. The group represented a small fraction of the hundreds – perhaps thousands – of pastors, youth leaders, laypersons and parents who have assisted in growing and managing Winterfest since it began 37 years ago as a band of five youth groups that came together in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a time of refreshing and renewal.

Latin America Interdenominational Summit to be Held

CLEVELAND, TN–A multi-denominational leadership summit will be held in Cleveland, TN, on March 11-13, 2019. Hosted by the Church of God and the Church of God of Prophecy, this meeting will bring together church leaders representing numerous church and mission organizations engaged in ministry across Latin America. It is expected that some 90,000 local church congregations will be represented by their leadership at the summit.

RISE Conference Free to Church Leaders

Two Church of God pastors are again offering a conference for church leaders called RISE, to be held in Tampa, Florida on March 27-29, 2019.

Operation Compassion Responds to Alabama Tornado Outbreak

This past Sunday afternoon, tornadoes broke out along a swath of southern Alabama and Georgia. The most devastating of these storms hit an area about 20 miles south of Opelika, AL in Beauregard in Lee County. As of 8:00 a.m. this morning the death toll was at 23 with double digit numbers of people missing. More than 100 rescuers are continuing a house by house search for survivors.
