Mitchell Maloney, Director of the Office of Church of God Church Planting, has announced a series of Church Planters Interest Meetings and training intensives, the first of which was held last weekend.
Many church leaders think that the “wage and hour” laws, and particularly overtime pay rules, do not apply to churches. That could not be further from the truth. Churches and church employees are NOT exempt from the “wage and hour” laws – and failure to obey such could result in substantial penalties to the church. To get around these laws, many churches have often wrongly “exempted” their employees from the law.
Sunday, October 27, 2019 is Retired Ministers and Widows Appreciation Day in the Church of God. It is part of a long-standing tradition to honor the heroes of the faith who have contributed and sacrificed over a lifetime of ministry.
In the on-going series, “Let’s Talk About It,” Church of God General Overseer Timothy M. Hill has released the latest tackling the topic, “Observations and Affirmations from the Global Ministry Forums.”
For the third year in a row, Church of God Women’s Ministries are hosting Faith*Fire*Freedom rallies to be held at both U.S. and international locations. The first of the three meetings to meet this month will take place this Friday, October 11 in Nassau, Bahamas.
Last month, Delmarva-DC Church of God Youth and Discipleship launched its first significant “Jeremiah Generation” effort through the “Aspiring Leaders Conference.”
