URUGUAY — The Church of God in Uruguay recently celebrated its 40-year anniversary during the National Convention in Montevideo. The theme of the event was “In the Power of the Spirit,” and the special guest was Assistant Director Víctor Pagán.
As the small group of pastors traveled 125 miles north from Ethiopia’s capital, they passed through dry highlands with ploughed fields waiting for rain – perhaps a metaphor for what they were about to encounter in Kuyou, a town in the Selale Oromo tribal area.
Eagles’ Wings recently preached in Kabarnet Town on the edge of the Great Rift Valley. We planned this meeting to boost a new church plant that was started by one of our Discipleship College students. The college chapel has been sponsoring the work of planting the church, so the students were actively involved in this meeting.
