With Christmas and New Year’s Day both falling on a Sunday this year, churches are anticipating big challenges: will fewer volunteers be available? how to maximize attendance possibilities? how best to do outreach? how to manage year-end giving in light of two holiday weekends?

The November/December 2016 issue of the bimonthly review Books & Culture will be its last after a run of 128 issues over 21 years. Earlier this month, the ministry of Christianity Today made the difficult decision to end the beloved publication.

WORCESTER, Mass. — On February 17-18, 2017, Vision New England will host the second annual GO Conference to inspire, encourage and unite Christians and strengthen churches across the six-state region. The conference will be held at the DCU Center, 50 Foster Street in downtown Worcester. The theme will be Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly and Make Disciples, based on Micah 6:8.

On Thursday, October 13th, Home To Enhance African Life (HEAL) will host its 3rd Annual Benefit at Room 43 in Bronzeville from 6-10pm. The event will pay tribute to Rev. Sr. Calista Utazi of the Messengers of Justice Congregation (MOJ), who died at age 39 in southeastern Nigeria due to lack of available medical care for her heart condition.

Malteser International Americas, a Miami-based global humanitarian relief agency, today announced further relief measures for children and families in Haiti who are suffering from the devastating flooding of Hurricane Matthew.

Mission North America will be the new handle for the multiple ministries of the Church of God that engage in resourcing the FINISH Commitment in the United States and Canada. Henrique (Henry) Rosa of Montes Claros, Goias, Brazil has an amazing testimony about God’s delivering power! Rosa first found the Lord Jesus Christ in 1999. He was a professional scuba diver that searched for diamonds, gold, crystal and other valuable gems that were buried up to 4-5 meters deep in the mud in the rivers between Sao Paulo and Rio Grande in Minas Gerais, Brazil. As a new convert, he faced many temptations.

Thirty-two Christian leaders from business, political, cultural, and theological sectors have come together with The Washington Times and the Institute for Faith, Work & Economics (IFWE) to publish a special report on faith and economics, entitled, “Faith at Work: Economic Flourishing, Freedom to Create and Innovate.” The report features opinion editorials from each leader and is printed inside today’s edition of The Washington Times newspaper. The report will be distributed to some 10,000 leaders in Washington, D.C., including every Congressional office, and has the potential to reach millions in print and online.
