An Office Max in Marshfield, Wisconsin has refused to print a poster submitted by Wisconsin Christian News (WCN) advertising an upcoming speech on November 16 by Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality on the topic of “The Homosexual Agenda.”

Church of God General Overseer Dr. Timothy M. Hill has released a document entitled, “The FINISH Commitment: The Essential Alignment of Priorities, Paradigms, and Purpose.”

On Monday, November 13 there will be events, vigils and fundraisers commemorating World Orphans Day in various countries around the world. Facilitated by a Nashville based organization, The Stars Foundation, the flagship platform for orphans is being expanded to include an internationally promoted World Orphans Day theme song in 2018.

This summer, Youth Unlimited mobilized over 1,500 students and volunteers in communities across North America through SERVE, a week-long service-oriented mission trip experience.

As the memory of Hurricane Maria fades for some, that memory is still fresh and vivid for those trying to recover throughout the Caribbean. Puerto Rico was hit especially hard, losing the vast majority of their infrastructure.

At the invitation of hundreds of church leaders throughout the nation of Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year, international evangelist Andrew Palau and his team launched a massive 2-year campaign focusing attention on the nation’s two capital cities: Yamoussoukro (the political capital), and Abidjan (the economic capital). The campaign, which came to be known as Love Côte d’Ivoire, set its sights on uniting the local churches in order to mobilize the Christian community to serve their neighbors and share their faith in Jesus. Yamoussoukro was the focus of efforts this year, culminating in a week of ministry reaching more than 65,000 people and documenting 15,850 public confessions of faith.

Two organizations with a long history of helping grow and strengthen the global church through training and leadership development are joining forces to maximize their impact.

Lee University’s Dr. Louis F. Morgan will speak at the 12th Annual Azusa Lecture on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. in the North Cleveland Church of God’s Dixon Chapel.

Morgan, director of library services at Lee, will speak on “Fanning the Flame: Reflections on a Century of Church of God Education.”

A faculty member at Lee since 2003, Morgan previously served as archivist at the Dixon Pentecostal Research Center (Church of God archives) and also as curatorial assistant at the Museum Center at Five Points in downtown Cleveland.

In addition to his responsibilities in Squires Library at Lee University, Morgan teaches graduate courses in leadership and serves as an academic advisor. He also serves on the Dean’s Council, Academic Council, and Master of Ministry Studies graduate committee.
