Over the past several decades, belief in the Bible has steadily declined. In 2017, Gallup found that only 24 percent believe the Bible is the literal word of God, the lowest in a 40-year trend. Even among Christians, engagement with the Bible is waning. Eighty-two percent of Christians only read their Bibles in church.

Crisis-trained chaplains with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team are on-site in Dodge County, Neb., one of many areas across the Midwest that has been inundated with an historic level of flooding. Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts called the disaster – which was caused by a combination of factors including a bomb cyclone, deeply frozen ground, and heavy precipitation – “the most widespread destruction we have ever seen in our state’s history.”

Submissions are now being accepted for the Houston Gospel Music Coalition Music Video and Film Festival. Faith-based, inspirational film and music video makers can vie for a chance to have their works screened and be eligible for cash and awards, in our 2019 film festival. Entries opened March 4, through Film Freeway and will remain open until October 1, 2019.
