I am pleased to inform you that since my election into office on Feb. 24, 2007, we have 11 new mission stations with some of our Bible school students serving as pastors while they are in school. We have over 1,000 new members who have not been added to our record in Liberia. We desperately need to prepare all of our places of worship so there aren’t any disruptions when the rainy season begins soon.

God is stirring deep spiritual passion in the hearts of the thousands of people who have traveled to Florida during the last month to experience the Lakeland Healing Revival. Since these meetings began in a 700-seat church on April 2, the crowd has moved four times to bigger venues, the fervor has intensified and the news has spread worldwide—thanks to God TV and online broadcasting.

I have just returned home from a fantastic breakthrough weekend of ministry in the city of Pekanbaru (population 800,000), capital of Indonesia’s Riau Provence on the island of Sumatra, a 90 minute flight from Jakarta. This landlocked city is closer to the foreign capitals of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, than it is to Jakarta.

While in Beijing, evangelist Franklin Graham told Chinese reporters he is opposed to missionary work during the Olympic Games this summer in Beijing. Some Christian groups have announced plans to proselytize during the Games in August — but Graham, recognizing that Chinese law prohibits such actions, said he would not encourage anything illegal.

The “undisputed queen of southern gospel music,” Dottie Rambo, was tragically killed last Sun. May 11 when her tour bus ran off a highway near Mount Vernon, Mo. she was 74.

World Missions has had numerous inquiries concerning the tragic situation in Myanmar where over 22,000 have died and hundreds of thousands have lost their homes. The Church of God has churches, missions, members and an orphanage there.
