Building the Church in Liberia

I am pleased to inform you that since my election into office on Feb. 24, 2007, we have 11 new mission stations with some of our Bible school students serving as pastors while they are in school. We have over 1,000 new members who have not been added to our record in Liberia. We desperately need to prepare all of our places of worship so there aren’t any disruptions when the rainy season begins soon.

Two of our good buildings and 10 of our mission stations need serious attention. The first Church of God church ever founded in the heart of the city of Monrovia needs a new roof and an expansion because of the increase in membership.

Rev. Hart Moses Church of God in Liberia

To date, $128,122.03 has come in for the Phebe Grey orphanage in Liberia and $102,885.16 has come in for rebuilding the churches in Liberia that were destroyed during the war.

Presently, we have seven churches under construction with plans to start another five in June. The overseer’s parsonage has been refurbished as well.

Construction will begin in June on a new kitchen and dining area for the orphanage. In March, we shipped clothing and school supplies to the orphanage, and another shipment is planned for late May and again in August.

Many children’s groups have sent hand-made cards; one bluebell class sent a handmade quilt with the names of the bluebells inscribed.

Anyone wishing to donate new or like-new clothing as well as school supplies, toiletries, etc. can contact Richard Baker. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
