Church of God Responding to Famine in East Africa
EAST AFRICA — People are dying of hunger. A famine is occurring in East Africa. We must respond.
East Africa is experiencing the worst drought in 60 years. Ten million people are threatened by starvation in Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti.
Somalia is the hardest hit. Almost 30,000 children under five have died in the last three months. Jesus said: “Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me” (Matthew 25:45).
The second largest refugee camp for the Somalis is in Ethiopia. Our church in Ethiopia will assist us in feeding the poor in these needy countries. Will you help? Send the price of a hamburger to those who have nothing. Project Number 765-0036-012.
