National Missions Representatives Rally Scheduled for July 22-23
People with a heart for missions, local church missions committee members and LMRs (Local church Missions Representatives) are invited to attend the first National LMR Rally and Celebration.
The Friday and Saturday event will be held at the North Cleveland (Tennessee) Church of God and will include training, orientation, and inspiration.
According to Judy Pyeatt, national LMR coordinator, Church of God World Missions will provide housing and food for the LMR and spouse only; the LMR will be responsible for transportation. Pyeatt encouraged LMRs to invite missions committee members and anyone interested in knowing more about World Missions. However, guests, other than LMRs, are requested to cover their hotel expenses. Food for the Saturday meeting will be provided for all who attend. World Missions has arranged special rates with area hotels for early registration.
The kick-off service on Friday, July 22 begins at 7 p.m. with the Parade of Nations, World Missions choir and Dr. Raymond Culpepper, general overseer of the Church of God, as guest speaker.
On Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., the rally and celebration will continue with LMRs, World Missions personnel, missionaries, and pastors sharing missions with one another. Dr. Tim Hill, first assistant general overseer, will minister in the afternoon, and one fortunate LMR will win a free missions trip! In addition, there will be a drawing for a free vacation to Hilton Head, S.C., provided by an anonymous donor. Childcare will be available during all services.
