Educating Emma’s Kids

Out of the entire continent of Africa, Isaac Katontoka won second place for preaching and Peter Pawonga placed in the top 10 for music.

Three students from Emma’s Kids Christian Academy participated in the Accelerated Christian Education All-African Convention in South Africa. Out of the entire continent of Africa, Isaac Katontoka won second place for preaching and Peter Pawonga placed in the top 10 for music.

We are proud of all of our kids who passed their ninth grade exams. As funds are available, we are hoping to extend our classes through 12th grade. Right now our 10th through 12th grade students attend the public schools.

Collins Mwenda, age 20, was taken off the street by Emma’s Kids in 1998. When he completed ninth grade at Emma’s Kids Christian Academy, his high academic score allowed him to attend Hillcrest in Livingston, the number one school in academics. Collins was recently rated in the top five of his 12th grade class. He is now preparing for the ACT test while waiting on final scores. We are praying for an academic scholarship because he desires to further his education in computer or aircraft engineering. Collins is a perfect example of a changed heart because of the Love that has offered him Hope and Faith in Jesus Christ.
