Retired Ministers Conference Scheduled for May 8-10
All Church of God retired ministers and widows are invited to attend three days of exciting fun, entertainment and fellowship at the Retired Ministers and Widows Conference to be held on the Lee University campus and the North Cleveland Church of God. The conference, which is held every two years, is free to all retired ministers and widows who register.
Included in the conference are two nights lodging at one of Lee University’s premier campus residences and meals at the Deacon Jones Dining Hall. All sessions, including concerts and worship services will be held at the historic North Cleveland Church of God, just adjacent to the Lee campus.
This year’s theme is “Landmarks of the Faith,” with featured guest speakers to include Church of God General Overseer Dennis McGuire, Assistant General Overseer Orville Hagan and a symbolic “passing of the torch” from church generation to generation. Two prominent Church of God families will be featured in a special Friday morning ceremony.
Music at the Retired Ministers Conference will be exceptional, as always. This year musical guests will include Johnny Minnick, formerly with the Happy Goodmans and a reunion gathering of the Churchmen. In addition, Dr. Delton Alford will lead a mass choir of retired ministers, wives and widows.
The conference is co-chaired by Orville Hagan and assistant general overseer Tim Hill. Coordination of the conference logistics is being supervised by the office of SpiritCare, directed by Rev. Gene D. Rice.
If you are a Church of God retired minister, or widow of a minister and you have not registered for the conference, please call toll-free 1-800-323-7264 to receive more information.
