Pray for North Korea
Richard Baker, chief field officer for Children of the World Ministries, recently traveled to North Korea. He accompanied representatives of the U.S. State Department and the leadership of Global Resources Services in response to the widespread food shortage in the country. Some experts predict that if relief does not come soon, one quarter of the population of North Korea will die of starvation by the end of the year. It is a crisis. No one knows for sure what the numbers are, but it is a fact that hundreds of thousands are starving to death.
The most innocent victims of this terrible famine are orphans and desperate children. Richard visited orphanages, met with key governmental leaders and in-the-trenches caregivers, and offered greetings from supporters and prayer partners in the United States and Canada.
Please pray for the people of North Korea.
