Children of the World Adds New Orphanges
The Children of the World Ministries Board of Directors recently met and adopted ten new covenant orphanages.
Based in Bristol, Tenn., Children of the World Ministries, Inc. is a Christian charity based on James 1:27 that provides monitored safe havens – orphanages and children’s missions – for youngsters who have no place to go due to devastating natural disasters, civil wars or disintegrating societies and homes. It is an independent organization with roots in the Church of God and provides program guidelines and financial support for funding daily operations at Christian-based orphanages bringing love, peace, shelter, clothing and nourishment to orphaned, abandoned, mistreated and ailing children around the world.
According to Rev. Darrell Rice of COTW, “with administration costs met by the groups’ board of directors, 100 percent of all donations go to the orphanages and children.”
The ten new orphanages are located around the world and include:
South India: Open Arms/Jyothi Reddi Home for Children
Cambodia: Hope Orphanage (two locations – Siem Reap and Phnom Penh)
Indonesia: Love of Emmanuel Orphanage (Jakarta)
Zambia: Emma’s Kids
Thailand: House of Hope (Sangkaburi, West Thailand)
Thailand: House of Faith (Chiangdao, North Thailand)
Haiti: Destiny Village
Columbia: Safe House Home for Children (Cota, Columbia)
India: Home of Peace Orphanage (AIDS victims in Tamil Nadu, India)
China: Do-Chon Orphanage (on the North Korea border/for North Korean orphans)
“This brings our total to 25 orphanages receiving monthly supplemental operational funds through Children of the World Ministries,” Rice stated. “This brings a total commitment this year of $551,190 that, by faith, we intend to forward to these ministries as funds are available. Any gift, large or small, makes a huge difference in touching the lives of desperate, hurting children.”
