Engage Conference Scheduled for May 12-13
For the second consecutive year the Church of God will host the Engage conference, a cutting-edge event for the next generation of church leaders.
The conference is in response to the event held in April 2010 at the Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta. Due to the positive response from delegates, Engage 2011 will follow a similar format at the same location.
A sub-theme of the conference is “Growing Life-Giving Churches.” Headlining the slate of speakers will be Chris Hodges, pastor of Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama, Shawn Lovejoy, pastor of Mountain Lake Church and founder of churchplanters.com, and general overseer for the Church of God, Raymond Culpepper.
The first session kicks off on Thursday, May 12, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a full day of sessions on Friday, May 13. Two meals are included in the price of registration: dinner on Thursday and lunch on Friday. Delegates are encouraged to stay on site for these meals to allow as much time for sessions as possible.
Registration is available now on the newly-launched Web site at www.engageconference.net, or by clicking on the Engage graphic on the home page of the Church of God Web site. Individual registration is $69 and a group rate of $300 allows for an unlimited number of persons from one organization to attend.
“I want to encourage everyone to join us for Engage this year,” said Mark Williams, assistant general overseer and liaison to the Engage conference. “We have an exciting lineup of speakers who will challenge us to be more effective leaders for the Kingdom. I look forward to seeing you there!”
