Overseers Meeting, Church Planting Conference Postponed
Due to inclement weather, a state and district overseers meeting and the Great Commission Church Planting Mandate, scheduled for January 13-14, 2011 has been postponed until a date later this spring.
The two meetings were scheduled together to allow state and district overseers to attend both meetings. The overseers meeting was scheduled for Thursday morning, followed by the opening session of the conference that evening.
Up to nine inches of snow fell in the Cleveland, Tennessee area early Monday morning prompting emergency closings of area schools, as well as the international offices on Monday and Tuesday. The offices are scheduled to re-open on Wednesday at noon.
The Great Commission Church Planting Mandate is co-sponsored by the Church of God and the Billion Soul Network, headed by James O. Davis. Although because of the postponement some of the featured guests may change, more information about the event is available on the Church of God Web site.
A new date for the conference will be announced soon.
