Camp Meeting Offering from Arkansas
The secret is vision casting and involvement by the state bishop, missions board and Arkansas pastors who respond to the appeal. The offering this year will go to complete the construction on two churches in Africa – Ranaka, Botswana and Livingstone, Zambia.
For two consecutive years, the missions camp meeting offering for Arkansas has exceeded $25,000. Last year the goal was $27,000.00 which was met, and this year the goal was set at $30,000.00. The offering this year was received on Tuesday evening, June 2, with cash receipts in excess of $26,500.00. Administrative Bishop Terry Hart believes the balance of the goal will be forthcoming from churches unable to attend camp meeting the night of the offering.
Pastor C. E. Sturch, a veteran of ministry in Arkansas, said that in all his years of ministry in Arkansas he can never remember consecutive offerings that eclipsed $25,000.00. Bishop Hart is elated that the people in Arkansas have been so generous. This year there have been devastating tornadoes and floods, but the people have not forgotten missions.

The Church of God in Arkansas is to be commended for setting a high standard and for living out the example of generosity!
