State Prayer Leaders in Session
Representatives from states and regions across the U.S. are gathered in Cleveland, Tennessee at the Church of God International Offices for a team orientation and envisioning meeting.
Led by P. Douglas Small, prayer liaison for the Church of God, the leaders will be in session on October 29 and 30 where they will strategize and cast vision for prayer initiatives and projects.
There will also be reports on prayer in their states or regions. Director Small also plans to unveil resources and videos which will effectively equip leaders for ministry.
During the weekend, delegates to the conference will be informed of the three Prayer Emphases for the Church of God in 2011. These include “Fasting for God’s Favor” scheduled for January 10-31, “Seek God for the City” which will culminate on Pentecost Sunday in May 2011 and “30 Days of Prayer” in September 2011, a repeat of the successful program which took place last month in the Church of God.
The delegates to the orientation will be identifying praying churches and mobilizing intercessors. On Saturday the agenda includes special projects, church planting prayer support, calendarizing prayer, prayer training and state/regional prayer events.
