Alpha Omega Launches Fall Semester Ministry

Once again thousands of our Church of God young people will begin the fall semester at secular campuses all across the nation. They will be challenged academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Many of them will fall to temptation and peer pressure. Many others will be strong witnesses for Christ. We must pray for them all.

Our Alpha Omega Church of God Campus Ministries are now effecting campuses in 16 states. Local chapters and local church outreaches are touching student’s lives at :

University of Tennessee, East Carolina University, Central Connecticut State, University of Kentucky, University of N. Carolina, Charlotte, Ft. Valley State University, Mississippi State University, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Art Academy, Concord University, University of N. Carolina, Asheville, Weber State University, Gaston College, Northern Illinois University, Western Michigan University, University of Arkansas, Brewton Parker College, University of Mobile, University of Southern Mississippi, Rio Grande University, Auburn University, Montgomery, Gadsden Community College, Kennessaw State University, University of Alabama and the University of Maryland.

Projected works are planned for:

University of N. Carolina, Raleigh, Clemson University, Auburn University, Valdosta State University, Northern Kentucky University, Southern Illinois University, University of Wisconsin, Kenosha, Aurora University, Carl Sandburg University, and Southeastern Louisiana University.

Internationally, Church of God campus ministries are active in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. The parameters and methods of campus ministry are very different than those for the United States but very effective as students, leaders and evangelists effect their campuses through crusades, personal evangelism, bible studies, national campus outreaches and bible schools. We have active Church of God campus ministry outreaches in:

AFRICA – Ghana, Central African Republic, Botswana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Congo DR, Rwanda, Uganda and Ethiopia.

ASIA – Singapore and Japan.

EUROPE – Czech Republic, Hungary, United Kingdom and Scotland.

SOUTH AMERICA – Uruguay and Panama. CARIBBEAN – Jamaica and Bahamas.

At the recent General Assembly in San Antonio, several meetings were held with international overseers who are eagerly pursuing campus ministry in their countries. They expressed the critical need to reach students at this level and described the disconnect that their students face as they leave the strong familial ties of their cultures and go to the universities.

Alpha Omega is on the move. Continue to pray for all our campus leaders and students here in the US and around the world. This generation is critical to the future and impact of the Church of God. If you need further information feel free to contact:
