General Assembly World Missions Service

“Walking in the Spirit…Together” was the theme for the highly anticipated Thursday night World Missions service. The service kicked off with national workers and missionaries carrying the flags of the world in the Parade of Nations. Special music and inspirational videos were incorporated into the service to generate an appeal for career missionaries.

Angel Marcial, administrative bishop of the Southeastern Hispanic Region, was the guest speaker and shared his heart for missions.

The offering for the service went to support career missionaries. Outside the United States and Canada, the Church of God has almost 6 million members, 27,166 churches and 108 schools in 169 countries and territories. The church has more than 300 missionaries and thousands of national workers ministering around the world who can testify of God’s faithfulness, goodness and miraculous intervention.

What do missionaries do on the field? The answer is as varied as the callings and responsibilities of the 300 Church of God missionaries who presently serve.
