School of Ministry Announces New Program
The Church of God School of Ministry/Ministerial Development office recently announced the launch of Evangelism Concentration in Lay Leadership Development: How to Develop an Evangelism Outreach for the Local Church.
In September 2010, the evangelism concentration will be available in Lay Leadership Development (LLD). The evangelism concentration provides information and training for a lay person to develop an evangelism outreach for the local church under the leadership of the pastor.
The evangelism concentration consists of two parts in level two of LLD. In part one, a foundation is given for the practice of evangelism; and in part two, an evangelism program is developed for the local church. Two books used in the evangelism concentration are The Master Plan of Evangelism and Becoming a Contagious Church. Both of these books are classics for assisting a church in organizing an evangelism program. The other materials are also solid curriculum upon which a strong evangelism outreach can be developed in a local church.
