Church Planting LABS Scheduled for October
By Michael Knight, National Church Planting Office
The Harvard Business Review in May of 2008 featured an article by Dr. John J. Medina. He is a leader in neuroscience and its affect upon leadership. Medina writes about The Science of Thinking Smarter. He believes that neuroscience can show managers ways to improve productivity. In other words, our success is rooted in our thinking. Future ministers need to understand the complexity of our coming world. The Church of God’s nationally recognized LAB training systems takes the complex principles of doctoral sciences and breaks them down to where anyone can comprehend them. According to numerous church growth experts the number one reason church planters fail is the lack of proper training in the depths of basic entrepreneurialship. Research by Dr. Owen Weston says that if we can train future North American missionaries correctly we can ensure success by at least fifty percent.
This October 6-9, 2008 (LAB One) and October 8-11, (LAB Two), the nationally recognized LAB systems for church planting and church growth will take place in Madisonville, Ky. The world’s leading church growth experts will be in Madisonville to train new church planters and senior pastors. While the LAB is designed for church planters, many senior pastors now attend because of the wealth of relevant information. The Fall LAB which follows the General Assembly is the best time to attend. They offer more individual, intimate time with our world renowned speakers. Dr. Ed Stetzer, Dr. Owen Weston, Rex Frieze (CPA), Andrew Parks, Dr. Corne Bekker, and Michael Knight (December DSL 2008).
Why not attend or send someone you care about to Kentucky this fall? You will ensure their future success by 50%, equip them with the latest thinking and strategy in reaching the North American Mission field, and enable them to be forty percent larger than the national average size of a church plant. And you can do this with 15% off of registration for our 2008 October LAB only! Call us at 270-825-3513 or go online and register at www.cogplanting.com .
