World Missions Goals

Church of God World Missions has no missionaries, money, or prayer force outside of the local church. We exist to help every local church fulfill the Great Commission. There are seven particular things that World Missions offers the local church in doing missions:

1. Training 2. Inspiration 3. Strategizing 4. Supervising 5. Sending 6. Accounting 7. Resourcing

The International Executive Committee has announced our church emphasis as “Forward Together in Changing Times.” We will partner with our churches around the world by setting the following three goals for the General Assembly period:

1. Prayer

Prayer is central to all we do. We urge all our people to pray daily for our missionaries, national leaders, and unreached people groups.

2. The Great Commission

a. Initiate ministry among the sixty unreached people groups targeted that we have not yet reached.

b. Win one million souls to Christ, and plant one thousand new churches.

c. Increase World Missions giving and reduce administrative costs.

d. Mobilize Local Mission Reps and/or Local Mission Board Chairmans in at least 30% of our churches, and mobilize a short-term missionary movement of all age groups.

3. Trust

a. Improve the communication of World Missions so that current information is quickly available to all.

b. Celebrate World Missions Centennial in 2010.

c. Establish a training program for field directors, regional superintendents, national overseers, and mission field representatives.

With a united focus and commitment, we can make a difference.
