D.C. Chaplains Celebrate Great Year

The Church of God Chaplains Commission, with over 3,000 chaplains around the world, met once again with approximately 20 chaplains and spouses in the Washington, D.C. area for its annual New Years’ Dinner.

Each year during the chaplain Conference on Ministry in Specialized Settings(COMISS), the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces (NCMAF), the National Association of Evangelical Commission on Chaplains (NAECC), the Endorsers Conference for Veterans Affairs Chaplaincy (ECVAC), and the Conference of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Dr. Robert Crick and Dr. Jerry McNabb convene a belated New Year’s dinner to celebrate the awesome ministries of the previous year of the chaplains in the area.

The chaplains came from Virginia, Delaware, Maryland and D.C. with each representing ministries to the active duty military, hospitals, prisons, Community Service Chaplaincy and law enforcement. The Chairman of the Chaplains Commission Board, Reverend Darrell Waller, Care Division Board Member, Reverend Tom Offutt and Evangelism and Home Missions Director for DELMARVA-DC, Reverend William Reid, also attended to express their support of the men and women that make these various ministries so successful.
