Holy Spirit Manifestation
MIDDLE EAST — In a country where the Apostles once walked, a breath of the Holy Spirit manifested himself among the people willing to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
In a closed country where Christians are attacked by radical religious fervor, the Holy Spirit manifested himself as people received the Word of God.
Workers went to a city where God has opened doors and began discussions concerning the possibility of moving from a loose fellowship to a more formal church organization. This is a big step of faith in a country dominated by Islamic passion. The reader is invited to pray for the continued formation of the church and the members who go against the conventional thought.
Following the discussion on the formation of a church, a time of worship began. A sermon on the power of the resurrection of Christ was proclaimed, and scripture from Acts was read. As hands were laid on the people, a very real manifestation of the Holy Spirit was experienced. Two people spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. Then an invitation came to accept Christ. Three people said the sinner’s prayer and asked Jesus to be Lord of their lives.
Please pray for this country where apostles walked and proclaimed Christ. Pray for the church, the safety of believers and workers, and for the power and truth of the Gospel to be lived out in the lives of workers and people. Pray for signs and wonders to confirm the Word of God.
