Engage Conference Offering Cutting-Edge Topics

Permission to Dream is the theme of the Engage Conference scheduled for April 22-23, 2010 at Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta. According to conference planners, the event will be unlike any event ever sponsored by the Church of God and will attract pastors and church leaders from every generation.

Hundreds have pre-registered for the conference is being billed as a “covenant initiative to recognize, connect and empower emerging Pentecostal leaders who embrace the missional opportunities of the 21st Century.” Fees for the conference are $69.00 for individuals, a group rate (5 or more) of $299.00 and students are free with a valid ID.

As part of the conference there will be an exhibit area which will include Fellowship Technologies, Injoy Stewardship Solutions, SecureGive, Pathway Press and Streaming Faith.

The program begins on Thursday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. with a general session led by Reggie McNeal, Missional Leadership Specialist for Leadership Network of Dallas, Texas who says he “enjoys helping people, leaders, and Christian organizations pursue more intentional lives. “ Leonard Sweet, Ph.D., leader of the second afternoon session on April 22, is founder and president of SpiritVenture Ministries. A popular speaker, Sweet has written more than twenty books, including the trilogy AquaChurch, SoulTsunami, and SoulSalsa. Following a meal provided as part of the conference fee, Sweet will lead an evening session which will include a time of Q&A.

The schedule on Friday includes four breakout sessions led by pastors and ministers who have proven track records of growth and innovative ministry concepts. Session topics entitled, “5 Church Systems That Break Church Barriers,” “Preaching With a Point,” and “Expanding Your Church’s Culture of Generosity” will be among the highlights of breakouts led by Hugh Nelson, Mike Reynolds, Charles Weir, Rick Campbell, Bryan Cutshall and Marty Baker. Other breakout session leaders include Kevin Lloyd, Brad Moffett, Casey Graham, Eli Bonilla, Todd Sturgill, Stan Lester and Josh Rice. A special children’s ministry track will be led by Joseph Tvaroch.

The final afternoon closing session will be led by Church of God General overseer Raymond Culpepper.
