Lee Day Approaching

By: Rebekah Eble

Lee University’s annual Lee Day weekend will be Friday and Saturday, April 9-10. This thirty-hour event is Lee’s open campus weekend for prospective students, their parents, and youth leaders.

Lee Day registration will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday and the final Lee Day activities will conclude at 6 p.m. Saturday evening. This eventful weekend will showcase everything Lee has to offer for prospective students.

Lee Day events will include advance class selection, financial aid seminars and campus tours, as well as a theatre production of “The Last Night of Ballyhoo” and a music festival featuring many of Lee’s choral and instrumental ensembles. Sporting events will include Flames and Lady Flames tennis matches, Lady Flames softball and Lee Flames baseball games, as well as a “Meet the Coaches” all-sports carousel.

Lee clubs will display their organizations on the pedestrian mall, and the annual cookout on Saturday will provide fellowship in Alumni Park. There will also be a “Life at Lee” production, featuring a light-hearted look at campus life.

Other activities include various luncheons geared toward parents, transfer students, and specific high school grade levels. Lee Day events will conclude with a scholarship drawing for senior high school students and transfer students.
