Eurasian Seminary Personnel Safe After Moscow Attacks
A 39th victim of explosions from two suicide bombers in a Moscow subway on March 29 has died. However, reports from the leadership of the Church of God’s Eurasian Theological Seminary are that all personnel are safe and accounted for.
Dr. Thomas Rosson, president of ETSM said “none of the ETSM personnel and students were affected by the attacks. The Church of God leadership was also not near the attacks and to the best of our knowledge, none of our members were hurt.”
Two terrorist attacks rocked the heart of Moscow during the height of rush hour on March 29. Female suicide bombers attacked two separate stations of the Metro (subway) system. These stations are transfer hubs for the Metro, thousands of people pass through these stations on their way to work, Rosson said.
One station is the Lubyanka station located directly underneath the FSB (formerly known as KGB) headquarters, close to the Kremlin. The second blast near the Park Kultury station.
“We ask that you keep the entire situation in your prayers,” Rosson said in a statement. “The suspicions are that the terrorists came from the Caucasus where we also have a number of churches.”
