New Format Announced for Headquarters Chapel

CLEVELAND, TENN.—On Wednesday, November 5, the Church of God International Offices will launch a new way of connecting with constituents around the globe. At exactly 8:15 a.m. EST, a live Web Cast of the chapel service at the International Offices will take place.

Church of God General Overseer Raymond Culpepper hopes the broadcast will be an inspiration to people around the world who will be able to take part in a service which has been an integral part of the International Offices family since its inception. Like Lee University, the Seminary and Pathway Press, a regularly-scheduled chapel service is part of the fabric of the corporate denominational structure.

The services will be broadcast from the Leadership and Communications Conference Center in Cleveland, Tenn. A link to the broadcast will located in the lower left hand corner of the Church of God Web site or through one of the changing graphics on the home page (www.churchofgod.org ). From there easy to follow instructions to the link will be available. Accessing the broadcast will require a high speed internet connection and a media player. Scot Carter, director of communications for the Church of God and producer of the web cast recommends testing your computer capability before the morning of the broadcast in case it requires the download of a media player. In most cases, media player downloads are free.

“We are pleased and excited about Dr. Culpepper’s vision for this concept,” Carter stated. “We have this wonderful building that is equipped with these capabilities and we are eager to have everyone join us as we worship together.”

Carter also announced that as part of the broadcast viewers will be invited to join the International Offices family in giving to a benevolent cause during the chapel service. On November 5, the focus is on Reformation Sunday with a chance to give to the retired ministers’ Christmas offering. A link to give on-line via a major credit card or through PayPal will be located on the Web page.
