Mozambique Conference Attracts 2,000 Delegates

MOZAMBIQUE — It was agreed that the Full Gospel Church of God was positioned in this season to bring change in Mozambique and break denominational walls. We are leading the nation back to God!

A Spiritual Conference recently took place in August 2009. The event was organized by the Full Gospel Church of God in Mozambique. Over 2,000 people participated in the event. Pastors from all different denominations, both black and white, from South Africa, Burundi, the United States and others attended the conference. Some attendees traveled for four days to come to the event.

Different themes were discussed in worships, with ladies discussing the role and impact of Christian women in the society, home and church; dancers and the meaning of dancing in the Lord; New and Old Testament and how it is relevant for the church today; the role of the Christian youth; men and their role as the Christian father; and Christian leadership. Our speakers were Reverend Mario Casquinhe, Joseph Sithole, Hans Machila, and Elma Jacobs.

During the conference, pastors made a covenant with God – the country flag was brought to the altar as the pastors prayed for the nations and the Government of Mozambique.

This conference was described as the first to bring people of God together regardless of denomination, race, sex and gender to worship God. It was agreed that the Full Gospel Church of God was positioned in this season to bring change in Mozambique and break denominational walls. We are leading the nation back to God!
