‘Fall for Kids’ Program Announced

Samaritan’s Place, a Philippine home for children, has announced a unique program for families interested in adopting Filipino orphans.

Friends of Samaritan’s Place in partnership with Inter-country Adoption Board, Philippines and Holston Home for Children are
looking for families in the Cleveland, Knoxville & Chattanooga, Tennessee area desiring to adopt internationally.

According to Marc Morris, a Church of God missionary, along with his wife, Marilen, Fall for Kids will allow possible adoptive parents to host the children that are matched with them for 3 weeks in September to October 2010. After the 3-week stay, the prospective adoptive parents will be able to decide if they want to finalize the adoption of the child(ren) they hosted.

COST: 3,000.00 ($300 Application Fee / $2,700.00 airfare of the child &escort, insurance, US visa application fee, orientation expenses for participants & children miscellaneous)

DATE: September 29-October 19, 2010. Applications should be in on or before early March to allow for home study to be done.
• Child will return to the Philippines at the end of the program.
• Participants will be given time to decide if they want to finalize the adoption.
• Finalized adoption will be around $10,000 -$800 (credited from the $3,000) = $9,200.00 excluding airfare.
