NYC Commuters To Get An Atheistic Eyeful
A new wave of ads questioning the existence of God will appear next week at subway stations throughout New York City.
The ads read, “A million New Yorkers are good without God — Are you?” They will begin appearing next Monday (October 26) at subway stations in the Manhattan region.
Ray Comfort, an evangelist who preaches in public on a regular basis, is co-host of the weekly television show Way of the Master and founder of Living Waters Ministries. He has a message for atheists.
“What I’d like to say to these professing atheists [is], ‘So you believe that there was something that created everything? Do you think the ‘something’ was intelligent? Could you make a leaf or flower or bird or frog or horse?'” To this he feels they would generally reply, “No, no; obviously the something that created everything was intelligent.”
Comfort continues to describe these hypothetical conversations with a chuckle: “And I just say to them, ‘Well, congratulations, you’ve just become an anti-science knuckle-dragger in the eyes of our learning institutions, because you’ve admitted you believe in intelligent design.”
Next month, Living Waters will give away more than 100,000 copies of Charles Darwin’s Origin of the Species at 100 of the top universities in the U.S. The special edition has a new introduction written by Comfort, debunking the theory of evolution and ultimately pointing people to Christ.
