Missionary Orientation Being Conducted at International Offices
Cleveland, TN–Church of God World Missions is conducting a missionary orientation September 23-25, 2009 at the International Headquarters. The orientation is a course of information for those appointed to the field within the last year.
Wednesday September 23, Roland Vaughan, special assignment representative, kicked off the orientation, preaching on the profile of a Church of God missionary.
Beginning Thursday morning, various classes were held for the missionaries to learn foundational knowledge for life on the field. World Missions personnel will go over the policy manual, budget items, accounting procedures, insurance, communication, conflict resolutions, fundraising and information on travel, visas and shipping. Some of the speakers iclude Douglas LeRoy, Victor Pagan, Kelvin Page, Art Rhodes, Bill george, Fred Garmon, Jim Talley and David Ramirez.
The orientation ends with a commissioning service on Friday afternoon, with missionaries receiving communion and being anointed to go and reach every nation.
