Alpha Omega Campus Ministries Poised For Action
As the Fall 2009 semester begins on college and university campuses all across the nation, 55 Alpha Omega Church of God campus ministry groups are ready to minister to students on 81 campuses in 24 states.
Alpha Omega Church of God Campus Ministries Field Coordinator, John Unthank stated, “There has been outstanding growth and expansion in Church of God campus ministry in the past year and a half with the increase of new on campus student organizations as well as local church outreaches to nearby campuses. Recent updates from our groups tell of their special efforts in welcoming students back to campus and helping them move in. Some groups are focusing on the international students on their campuses in providing care and support for their unique needs. Some groups have continued growing through the summer and have prepared and remodeled collegiate ministry centers.”
The focus of the first few weeks of a new semester is to aid the students in the transition from home and their youth group. The need is great as students face strong opposition to their Christian faith and personal values. Be in prayer for each of them and especially those from your local church.
