International Global Ministries Training Expeditions Set for 2009/2010
The International Department of Youth and Christian Education is extending an invitation to Senior/Lead Pastors, Youth Pastors, Children’s Pastors, Discipleship Pastors, Worship Pastors, Christian Education Directors, and local church leaders to participate in an International Global Ministries Training Expedition. Ministries training teams are being formed with ministry leaders from all over the United States to train local church leaders in three international locations in 2009-2010. The purpose of these trips is to provide much needed training and encouragement to local church leaders and workers. This will be done through workshops, involvement in general church services and community evangelism. A variety of ministry opportunities will be available. The opportunity to be involved in training at these various events will enable us to touch people around the world by training those who will be reaching them.
On October 20-27, a team will travel to Romania to conduct a pastors’ training conference, as well as a youth leaders training conference and youth convention. The YCE team will be partnering with hosts missionary Roy Olsen and Randy Wooden, a pastor from Virginia. Pastors, Discipleship Pastors, Children’s Pastor and Youth Pastors are needed for this trip, as well as a youth band to be involved in the youth ministry aspect of the trip. The theme for this trip is to encourage local church pastors and leaders to embrace change in their ministries and churches in order to be more impactful and effective in reaching and discipling the harvest. The all inclusive cost for this trip is $600.00 plus the airfare to Bucharest. Trip coordinators are Tony Lane and Randall Parris. (If interested in this trip, response is needed immediately!)
The destination for February 1-9, 2010, is the Philippines. A team will be traveling to Manila for the second annual training event at the Asian School of Christian Ministries (ASCM). There will be three days of intensive practical and hands-on training for students from various Asian countries. By training these students, the impact will be felt throughout Asia! There will also be a one-day training seminar for local church workers and leaders. The team will also tour and visit the Samaritan’s Place orphanage. The cost will be approximately $2,000.00. This will include airfare, transportation, meals, lodging, and insurance. Senior/Lead pastors, youth pastors, children’s pastors, worship pastors, discipleship pastors, and other leaders are encouraged to participate in this trip. The host for this trip is Scott Rains, President of ASCM. Trip coordinator is Tony Lane.
Central Europe is the focus for March 23-30, 2010. With the goal of training pastors, as well as local church leaders, the team will be providing practical training in children’s ministry, youth ministry, discipleship, leadership, Christian education, and pastoral ministries. It is vital to take the message of the Gospel to the land where postmodernism reigns. The Church of God pastors, leaders, and workers there need help in practical church ministries training and we want to help them by sharing what we have learned. The team will travel to Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic. The host will be Jonathan Augustine, Regional Superintendent for Eastern Europe. The trip coordinators will be Tony Lane and Randall Parris. Cost is $1700 from Atlanta and includes airfare, transportation, meals, lodging and insurance.
