Sustaining Missionaries in a Global Downturn

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Church of God missionary families need your love put into action today. Many have served faithfully on the field and are in debt. You can help.

A disturbing fact to those who love missions is the group of wonderful missionary families in urgent financial need . More than one family has spent several months in this predicament.

Church of God missionaries depend on partners in local churches to help them deliver the Good News of the Gospel to the areas of the world where God has called them and we have sent them. They are like Paul who said, “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some” I Cor. 9:22.

Most of our Urgent Needs Missionaries have families serving alongside them. These families live by a budget worked out before they have gone to the field to be equitable, yet far from extravagant. Different pressures cause the urgency of their situation:

a) The falling dollar value and weakened world economy
b) The need to stay on the field for ministry’s sake
c) Educational needs for augmenting their ministry
d) The shrinking of donor (promised) support
e) Perhaps even the “out-of-sight, out-of-mind” syndrome

Please consider giving a financial gift of love today. Your gift can be given online and your church receives the credit.

We (the Church of God) have sent these missionaries. Let us sustain them.

The widow of Zarephath was sustained through her obedience with her means. Perhaps God has that plan for you and your family as well.
