Middle East Missionaries Testify of Refreshing

“Kari and I have found that it is always when you expect it the least that God blesses you the most….”

In the last couple of months we have been so busy. God is working, doors are opening, and there has been nothing to really complain about. At the same time, we have grown increasingly tired.

Opportunities to minister are times when you are blessed to be able to pour into the lives of others. At the same time, to pour into someone else means that you are emptying yourself. If you don’t take the time to sit at the feet of Christ and replenish your own strength, you become like a dry vessel unable to give anymore.

This recent Good Friday a student team from the European Theological School in Germany came to Croatia to minister in our local church here in Vinkovci. Kari and I were so spiritually, mentally and emotionally tired, we considered not going to the service, but did anyway. We are so glad we did. The students came with one desire…to worship. As they did, the presence of God came down like rain, and words can never express how much we needed just that.

We did not preach, teach or minister in anyway. We just sat in the presence of God and let Him refresh and refill us.
