Winterfest Blogs on FaceBook
One participant of Smoky Mountain Winterfest created a FaceBook page for those who wanted to share their experience.

As I sat in service at Smoky Mountain Winterfest 2009, I looked around and wondered what 18,000 people could be thinking about the weekend’s events. Obviously, there was no way I could contact everyone – or even close to that – but I thought of a way I could get some feedback from quite a few.
Once I got home, I created a group on Facebook (a popular social networking site) simply called, “I went to Smoky Mountain Winterfest 2009!” Immediately people began to post feedback. Winterfest received many positive descriptions such as:
“Winterfest ROCKED!!!”
“Winterfest was awesome!”
“…such an amazing experience!”
“fantastic…super…incredible…overwhelming”
“…this year was the BEST!”
It’s great to see the lasting effects that it has had on people. Many testified of a deeper sense of belief and faith:
“[I realized] that my own pastor’s kids need covered in prayer daily!!”
“I felt God’s presence so strongly in that arena every service… I believe He’s about to do some awesome things through us, as long as we step up and take the challenge.”
“ [Winterfest] helped me change a lot of things that I was doing that weren’t helping me”
“Saturday night I just totally let loose and God was speaking through me and it was intense. [I] am now a full believer in tongues and it was the most amazing feeling ever.”
Obviously, Winterfest has had an incredibly positive effect on so many who attended. The Lord has worked through Winterfest gatherings for years and He continues to do so. If you or someone you know has a Facebook account, go to Smoky Mountain Winterfest 2009, and look us up!
(Winterfest is a production of the Church of God Youth and Christian education Department and is held in several locations across the nation, the Caribbean and Europe. Check out the Web site www.mywinterfest.com).
