PHILIPPINES – Church of God Missionaries Marc and Marilen Morris share about a new program at Samaritan’s Place children’s home.
With the addition of our newest home here on the Samaritan’s Place campus, we are envisioning a program we are calling “Roots and Wings”. It’s purpose is to allow adoptees and/or adoptive families to return and stay a few days up to two months to really enjoy re-connecting with the Philippines. Most of the “motherland” tour programs seem so tourist-y, costly and don’t allow for adoptees or families to feel settled.
We want people to feel like they have come “home.” It will also help us generate revenue for Samaritan’s Place operations and yet be more cost efficient for adoptees/families.
