Educational Building Dedicated in Cambodia

Officials with People for Care and Learning, a non-profit humanitarian foundation with ties to the Church of God, have dedicated a new education facility in the southeast Asian country.

The new facility will be used as a multi-purpose facility housing such programs as; Information Technology (IT), English as Second Language, a two-year associate degree, and a “high-diploma,” the equivalent of a GED degree in the U.S. The Southern Cambodian offices for PCL will also be located in this new facility.

The Governor of the Phnom Penh district in Cambodia was recently present to assist with the dedication of the new four-story PCL Learning Center located in Emmanuel Village.

The Governor also honored PCL for its continued partnership with the Kingdom of Cambodia and expressed appreciation for the continued support and encouragement of the poor and needy. Dr. Fred Garmon, director of People for Care and Learning, also spoke to the large audience and expressed appreciation for the opportunity provided PCL to help the people of Cambodia and to be a partner.

Bien Raneses, the southern development director for PCL, and his staff were very proud of the new center and served as wonderful host to all the dignitaries and honored guests from the U.S. team, along with the TV and radio crews that were present covering the event.

People for Care and Learning (PCL) is a Non-Profit Humanitarian Foundation, chartered in 2001, to provide “Care and Learning” opportunities around the world to give the poor a “working chance.”
