Ministry, Church Reaches Out to Connecticut University

Dan Damico and the leaders of the New Britain Church of God in Connecticut are reaching out to support international students at Central Connecticut State University.

Damico was one of the first to be trained in the initial Alpha Omega training conference in May, 2005. Alpha Omega is a ministry of the Church of God which focuses on secular colleges and universities for outreach.

Despite several setbacks and opposition on campus, step by step, year by year, Dan has persevered in establishing student ministry at CCSU. He has not given up on the vision. Just a few days ago he reported that he is still ministering to the students in the International Club. Birthday gifts are being well received by the students. Dan is seeking to partner with international students leaders at UCONN to bring about an outreach from local churches in their area to the students. He is also working with Christian bands in the area to be able to sponsor them to minister on campus.

“Dan is a servant at heart,” stated John Unthank, director of Alpha Omega. He is always available and ready at an instant to become an agent of support for the college students. The pastor and the leaders of the New Britain Church of God are to be commended for their faithful vision and support to Alpha Omega. They are reaching the heart of the campus.”
