COLOMBIA – This article is a testimony from Missionary Evangelist Ronald Ballenger of how God heals even the smallest of creatures.
I am so grateful for 47 years of evangelism and missions and for being able to travel and minister in 160 countries. God has been so good in my life. I have seen so many miracles over the years, but one in particular stands out to me.
I was in Colombia working in the mountain area. One day I was walking up one of the mountains. I had a donkey with me that I rode some of the way. It was difficult to ride the donkey because I could feel his bones. That particular day it had rained a lot and the stones had become loose. As a result, the donkey’s foot slipped on some of the loose stones and he fell with me on his back. I was hurting from that fall and when I looked over at the donkey, he had a gash in his leg and was bleeding badly. I said, “Jesus no one is here but me and these four little natives helping carry supplies, I know you can heal, please touch this donkey that was helping me to the area I was going to preach your Word.”
All of a sudden the blood stopped and went back up the leg of the donkey into where it was cut and the gash went away. I cried and shouted, lying on my back on the ground and the four natives went wild doing flips in mid-air. I walked beside the donkey praising the Lord and patting the donkey as I walked beside him. Three times he put his head behind my leg trying to lift me. I believe he was grateful and wanted me to get up on him. I know this probably sounds far-fetched but it sure encouraged my heart.
