Men and Women of Action Hold Successful Rally

KODAK, Tenn. — Men and Women of Action celebrated their 26th year with another successful rally in Kodak, Tennessee. The theme of this year’s rally was “Anticipating Transformation.” Over 500 people attended the Friday evening service. It was a wonderful time of worship and fellowship.

Several videos of completed projects from 2008 were presented, including a year in review that highlighted all of the Men and Women of Action projects in the previous year. Douglas LeRoy, the director of Church of God World Missions, gave an inspiring message about continuing to be in “action” because God has already provided the tools.

During the Saturday morning session, several Men and Women of Action leaders gave presentations about their completed projects and testified of God’s faithfulness in not only providing the funds but also in seeing them completed as well.

Approximately 40 new projects were presented. A leader for each of the projects and several projects filled their entire team roster.

“To see the team leaders lined up across the front of the sanctuary, representing scores of teams that will be building churches, dormitories, orphanages and other projects this year underlined the tremendous impact for ministry these men and women of God are having around the world,” says Bill George, coordinator of education for World Missions.

Hugh Carver, director of MWOA summed up the meeting by stating, “We believe this is going to be our best year yet!
